EK living in the Northern Emirates

I have heard that some people are living in the UAQ Marina / Ras Al Khaimah, is there anyone here who knows how they go about getting to work?!

I met a couple of guys that live in RAK and there abouts. The company will pick you up only within the confines of Dubai (the whole emirate I think), so you have to arrange the pick up accordingly.

One of the guys drives to the training college and he gets picked up from there (still 2:15 before STD), the other one drives to one of the company buildings but can't remember what building.

Now to respond correctly..

Many Dubai based Flight Deck and yes mostly EK do live in up north.

The drive from RAK (Al Hamrah), to EK centre is if the 611 is used can be less then 1 hour.

One way taxi is about 180 aeds, from DXB and about 160 from RAK.

There are some crew that have a car lift arangement, but I am not aware of just who organised this.

Where is sassy wife when needed, she has all the answers.???
