KLM denied there is an issue and did not want to give an interview on TV. However the airline seems to be aware of the issue proved by the fact internal workgroups are discussing the issue. The Dutch Aviation inspection says there are no reports of health problems of pilots related to toxic fumes.
The CEO of ArkeFly says there are known problems and calls pilots to step forward and let know of issues.
The Dutch minister of transport says an investigation is not needed because an earlier investigation showed no problems. However this research measured only during some parts of flights. It did not take samples of air during all phases of flight.

The episode is in Dutch and can be seen on the site of Zembla. Zembla - Uitzending Gemist (http://www.uitzendinggemist.nl/programmas/181-zembla)

For the first time recognizes someone from the top of the airline pilots that can be toxic oil fumes in the cockpit. Unwell In a TV broadcast of the Zembla ArkeFly director, Steven van der Heijden, says there have been cases of pilots at other airlines, because of high concentrations of oil vapors were barely able to get a plane to land safely.

The oil vapors coming from the engines and the air conditioning system of the cockpit and the cabin of the aircraft. In those vapors are tcp's, toxins. According toxicologist Martin van den Berg's tcp same properties as a nerve agent.

Forty reports
Neurologist Hageman of the Medical Spectrum Twente said in the broadcast that he 35 pilots with neurological complaints investigated. The last two years He believes it is known that pilots fainting and difficulty with their vision. Pilots reported to him that a co-pilot the device sometimes had to take over.

According to the Aviation Inspectorate are the last six years a hundred reports of odors entered in aircraft. In certain cases, forty aircrews unwell. It is not in accordance with the inspection tcp that were the cause.

Flight
According Zembla still says Aviation Inspectorate that there is no problem, because the regulator has no kites by tcp have become unwell.

The inspection therefore calls on pilots to report. "We have never seen a kite in the past decade as a result of TCP's been rejected," says director Griffin inspection. The flight is therefore, according to him not at issue.

Director Van der Heijden of ArkeFly calls his staff in to report if they have problems. He is also in favor of a survey of aircrew.

"Measuring irrelevant"
The largest Dutch airline KLM will not comment on the air for the camera. According Zembla KLM denies that there are indications that runs the health of personnel or passengers danger.

KLM is according Zembla not intend to measure the concentration of TCP in the cockpit and cabin because that "would not be relevant."

A serious issue with pretty severe outcome if proved.

Wonder will this thread get as many contributors as the one where Dutch TV ran a program on Ryanair.
