European Helicopter Show

Travelled out to the show in the Czech Republic with an open mind, but came away with the impression that unless there is some international presence next year, I will give it a miss.
Plenty of aircraft around, with a fair showing of local operators. There just wasn't the number of visitors I expected (or was promised). Maybe it was something to do with the public holiday in Czech on Wednesday.

So Wednesday was a public holiday in Czech Republic and the show started Thursday. However, lots of other countries had the Ascension Day holiday on Thursday including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. So Thursday may not be a representative day with some nearby countries all on vacation....

All of the aircraft listed for the flying display, were on the static display line on Wednesday. There was also a Czech made "Heli Baby" two seat helicopter from the early 1950's on static display.
I hope the rain holds off for them, as it is bucketing down at Prague airport while I wait my flight home.

That FAMA KISS 209 (as reported on by helihub (http://helihub.com/2013/05/06/fama-helicopters-sending-a-kiss-to-ehs/)) is an interesting design. Another two-seat Solar T62 kit application (like the Helineo (http://www.heliairdesign.com/en/helineo-en), Alpi Syton AH130 (http://alpiaviation.com/aa/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1276&Itemid=653&lang=en), Aurora (www.AuroaHelicopters.co.nz) and Hillberg Skyshark (http://www.rotaryforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26123)), but this time with retractable gear (or fixed skids). It was previously mentioned in another thread (http://www.pprune.org/rotorheads/498423-flying-experimental-helicopter-uk.html), but I hadn't seen the pictures before now.
