Radio 4's Front Row, this evening, reviewed James Hamilton-Paterson's new book "Under The Radar".
Under the Radar, James Hamilton-Paterson (http://www.faber.co.uk/catalog/under-the-radar/9780571273980)
It's based on the early 60's Exerecise Skyshield 2, where the RAF Vulcans mounted a nuclear attack on the US East coast. Seven, out of the eight aircraft, got through undetected and "bombed" their target.
Did any of the ex Vulcan crews on here take part, and have any tales to tell?
