Three goes, best 77 miles, gave up! I suspect that flying a real one might be easier. The friend who sent it to me says he did 156 miles but I think he's lying as he's even more kack-handed than I am!

I suppose my excuse is being left-handed!

Shamed by your results, I had another go and got 197. Still piss poor. I don't think I'll give up my day job for flying a 'copter.

That first stupid green block in the flight path was not NOTAM'd. Well that's my excuse.

After 16,500 hours flying helicopters I'm not going to admit how far I got.
I have the same problem with Microsoft.

You can see why there are not any digitally controlled helicopters.

Choppers are meant to rappel/assault out of. Nothing more, nothing less. :}:}

Helicopters can even do more than that, airstike for example ;););)

French helicopter in northern Maly:

KAG:

The picture of the choppers you provided makes them look like they're on strike instead of performing an air strike. :}

Here, let me give you an example.

But, yes KAG the French are doing quite well in Mali.

KAG
30th Apr 2013, 12:53
rgbroke: yes, journalists didn't get access to the airstikes in Maly.
Maybe Hollande worried to remind us no war, no airtrike is clean, and this is always about human life at the end?

I don't really like when everything is kept away from the journalists like it just happen in Maly. French journalists complained a lot about that. :oh:

Where are we up to with our helicopter training???

I was wondering that myself just the other day, KAG: to my knowledge there is no footage of combat coming out of Mali.
Odd.

KAG
30th Apr 2013, 13:01
Exactly!

We can say many things about the US wars, but at least everybody has access to everything.

French journalists keep reporting and complaining the french army don't give them access to where they want to film.

KAG

Around 1000 persons died in this short recent war already. And no footage?

Hopefully Wikipedia did a really great job where we can read all the details, but still no pics:

Is anyone else on this thread old enough to remember the game Choplifter? One of the greatest of all times.

That is a little more modern version but very much in the style of the original. Great game and a very productive use of time!

Oh God, I hope no-one was in it :sad:... even though I did get to the 3rd green evil thing once. Besides, do helicopters crash up the sky? :sad:

Good job atomkraft.

Put a teenager in the game and I believe he/she 'll get more than 5000 in no time.

Anyway: the contest is still open: the first 3 winners will receive a pprune JB helicopter licence :ok: :ok::ok:

And what about the 3 worst ones, who will heal the wounds in their soul? :E

(P.S teenagers would for sure, once my 'problem boys' tried to teach me 'Live for speed', I got up to 40 km an hour. Diagnosis: you have to play more games. So now I have tried another one, and... :{ :p)

haven't played the helicopter game for years! Still crap at it though. Anyone remember/have links for the water bomber game and the cargo distribution one?
