Altavista not working with Firefox

I often use the Altavista search engine with Firefox. It has worked fine for years. Starting perhaps a week ago, it will let me input the search words and start the search, but nothing returns. I just get a blank screen.

Altavista still works fine with Internet Explorer.

What changed with Firefox / Altavista?

looks like its blocked

just use Yahoo instead - it will give you the same results. The Alta Vista search portal is just now an alternative front end for Yahoo (which of course uses the Bing database anyway, though prioritises results differently)

Thanks for the suggestion. Altavista (Yahoo) seems more selective than Google... and reduces my "profile" in Google....
