Mods, if there's another thread, go ahead and merge it with this one.

Folks

I'm an Embraer 190 Captain and looking for work. My application is in for this job.

Has anyone got the hot poop on this lot?

I hear stories of the medical being a bitch and that it is normal to bribe the doc in order to pass. Can this be true?

Also, what about this 'Chinese ATPL' business. Anyone got experience of getting one? How hard is it?

I'm a 52 year old Brit with a UK ATPL and about 11,000 hours on regional ops in Europe. Usual ratings, various turboprops, EMB-145, Avro RJ and then the 170/ 190.

Thanks Guys. :ok:

Medical in china is black or white, pass or fail, they fail more than they pass. The Chinese ATP is broadly based on the FAA ATP exam, about 70 percent are copied from FAA , the rest are Chinese ones.
