Does anyone know whether or not you can include simulator hours or 'taxi time' to military helicopter hours for accreditation towards an ATPL(H) under the new EASA regs? I have had a look through CAP804 and not found anything on this so far.

For experience requirements for the issue of an ATPL(H), see FCL.510.H (b). Whether time in a military simulator which has not been approved in accordance with ARA.FSTD would count, is not certain.

For details about taxi times, see Box 5 of form SRG 2133.

Thanks for that Curtis. Looks like taxi time is a no, and I'll have to probe deeper regarding simulator time.

If it's a mil sim, forget it. There are no CAA recognised mil sims to Level "D" standard, to my knowledge.

I am pretty sure you cannot claim either. Essentially everyone has got to forget what was in lasors. The MAS is the new reality. You need exactly what the civvies need. Its just you can count a military flying hour for a civvy one for one. And don't blame 22 Gp, this is all on EASA. (Extreme amounts of stupid Admin)

However, I shamelessly used 400 hrs of sim time back in 2009. Sorry.
