Hi everyone,

I really want to be a pilot and have been aspiring this dream for a long time, since I was 7 when I first sat in a mirage2000.

Cathay Pacific has recently shortlisted my application and invited me for an interview for their cadet pilot program. I really want to get an introductory trial lesson before going into the interview and am also concerned if they ask me,
What have you been doing so far about your passion?

My BIGGEST problem is that the Hong Kong Aviation Club has suspended all their 'TRIAL INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT FOR FIXED WING'.
http://www.aviationclub.hk/trial_introductory_flight.html

I have tried considering other options such as Maccau General Aviation club, but they have also shut down as well.
Hong Kong Macau General Aviation Co Ltd. (http://www.hkga.com.hk/)

My friends have told me to look places such as China, Phillipeans, Taiwan and Thailand.

Can someone please recommend me some good aviation clubs for introductory Trial Lessons near Hong Kong that are not too pricey.

Thanks a lot
Varun

Someone must be able to give the guy some info? Maybe Manila or perhaps Thailand?:ok:

Thanks Pucka, Yes I've looked into it and seems very cheap, but only ultra light aircrafts. My friend and really want to try out a Cessna, but if everything fails we'll go here.

Hi jetjockey696,
Thanks a lot, this seems like a great option too. So far I'm considering either this one or Angelese City Flying Club.

Hi, I'd just like to share my research on OMNI Aviation Flying School in Clark, Philippines. Basically found out that the introductory flight lesson on a C152 costs around 8000 PHP (1500 HKD). They said it would last up to an hour.

Cheers
