Well, maybe sometimes it is better the devil you know! This is a British Military Cemetery in Libya, which under the previous regime was always taken care of.:sad:

I think thats now the fifth time someone has posted video of that incident here. Its over a year old

Here are some of the previous threads
I am beginning to believe many of these were started by the same person trying to rake up angst and anger

A corner of a foreign field that is forever England.

An insult to the Scots, Welsh, Irish and possibly others who lie there.

Regarding multiple threads. I for one do not object to being reminded of the evil this creed represents.

fine, but lets just have it on one thread, rather than just reposting it time and time again and taking up bandwidth
remember there was a suspicion at the time that the event was a put-up job for the press cameras anyway

This is certainly not the same person that has started any similar thread. As for posting this under one thread, then there are hundreds of threads on JB that could be grouped under 'one' thread. You always have the option to choose not to comment, it's not mandatory you know.

An 'It's already been posted' would have sufficed.

Since then the cemetery was tidied up and most likely by now restored and nothing similar has recurred. You can hardly blame a whole people for the actions of a few fanatics during the chaos of a civil war.

There was similar vandalism is a Belgian cemetery last year. Needless to say not a peep of outrage on this forum.

I could have said "FFS another lazy b'stard who's too tired to check whether what he's posting in a duplicate of old news" but I didn't. I would have been a deserved comment though.

As for other duplicate threads, maybe there are some, but most are constructive. This one isn't - reposting this old video time and time again simply stirs up more grief for no reason

And shouldn't the title read "A thanks from the Liberated???

Milo

Climb up on the balcony and take your seat with Stadler and Waldorf. :*

The only thing wasting bandwidth on threads are the garbage replies from people like yourself. This is the 6th post so far dealing with your unnecessary post. If you don't like a thread or don't have anything to say then just don't bloody post. Nobody will miss your input Ok.

And no the title should not have said 'Liberated' it is correct as it is. These thugs were the army of resistance fighters who were responsible for their part in the 'liberating'. The ones that were given extensive assistance and arms by the coalition to do so.

So you are the self appointed arbiter of Jet Blast, the oracle on what is and what is not constructive, what should and should not be duplicated. :=

That always crosses my mind when I happen across Brooke's poem, but . . .

Rupert Brooke's five sonnet work 1914 The Soldier is the most famous poem of World War One

Not at all. I was just merely pointing out the inability of some people to actually check whether what they were posting was original or useful. Raking over old coals like this is neither.

Well excuse me for not relying on you as a standard setter in what is either constructive or useful. Your threads don't seem either.

you do at least seem to set a trend I suppose, PPRuNe's very own Finbar Saunders.

Once again, if a thread is duplicated and you have nothing to say that you would deem 'constructive or useful', then leave it and it will die it's own death, but with your track record it's a little rich describing the threads of others as neither constructive or useful, but I imagine any thread would meet with your approval if it happens to revolve around schoolboy, playground sex issues.

ENFP forgive me, but I don't recognise your name form here. perhaps I have missed it.

You posted a link that has not only been posted before, but the last time was incredibly recently, i was beginning to think the cemetery was being attacked on a weekly basis

I am not sure why you are getting so upset about what Milo said, I think he was very restrained. You were posting an old link, you should have checked first.
