EK/EY Probably not.

You might be able to get on with RAK/ABY/Safi after you build up your total time. The UAE is a small place , chances are you might be able to build contacts while instructing to move forward.

Goodluck.

Certainly in terms of EK/EY and I suspect FD you would be better off getting Heavy Jet experience elswhere, rather than Instructing experience here.

Fujairah Aviation's got a decent flight set up; flying there is certainly better than DB, RK and AA, at lest to build time, nice mountains as a backdrop and a runway that's better aligned than RAK.

Well, never say never; Emirates, Air Arabia, Etihad and Fly Dubai have their fair share or attrition and are always on the lookout for pilots; the que is long though.

Sure, flying around the sand-box will have its benefits. You could keep a look out for some of the Charter operators later. Folks like ExecuJet, Al Jabar, Royal Jet, Global Jet and Empire Aviation.

If its pure time building your looking at, get a TRTO on Boeing's and if you dont get anything around, try SkyJets. A word of caution here, if you get into SkyJets, flag the fact that your not going to get paid in time, the monies are low and prepare yourself to deal with an unprofessional bunch, a lot of attitude, arrogance and stupidity.

The only silver lining on the 'skyjets' cloud is the flying's outstanding; SkyJets fly to Afghanistan and they once in a while do some interesting charters so you'd gain a lot; sadly at the price of anxiety.

Best of luck mate!

i have worked for Fujairah Aviation academy in the past as an FI.
Dont hang on there in a hope to move onto Ek/EY/FD, aint gonna happen.

Just build your time towards ATPL and bounce on the first opportunity you get to fly something bigger.

cheers

Well, thanks, that makes it much more realistic. You may join Fujairah or any other flying school in the UAE just as a job and/or for hour building but to think that this job will lead you to flying in one of the UAE airlines, is like living in a fool's paradise. There is no way that they would take you in without xxx hours on a multi engine jet. The only possible exception could be, if you are a UAE national.
