I have loaded Skype to my laptop computer and now it will not shut down. Its a Toshiba Satellite one year old running WIN7 genuine OS and all up to date. Has anyone a suggestion on how I can get the thing to shut down when I want it to. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. PB

Thanks for the info. The problem solved itself. I did try to shut down Skype but no response nor by trying to call up the task manager as nothing happened. The laptop stayed on. Maybe there was a connection with an update for Win 7. This wanted to restart the confuser but could not, next day (19th) it succeeded in forcing a shutdown and now Skpe behaves OK. All's well that ends well. Cheers. PB
