... how the airlines charge for them is another matter!

So here is an article on yet another of PPRuNe's SLF favourite topics:

'McPassengers' to be offered extra-wide seats - Europe - World - The Independent (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/mcpassengers-to-be-offered-extrawide-seats-8570478.html)

But you won't like the flip side of the Airbus suggestion!! :=

an opinion poll conducted in the UK by Skyscanner found that 80 per cent of flyers were against losing an inch of seat width to accommodate a portly neighbour

So 20% of those questioned were happy for the airline to steal an inch of their space so it could be sold at a premium to an oversize passenger ?

And what happens if the said seats are sold to normal sized pax and the only seat left for an oversize pax is a thinner window seat... There will be tears.

And what happens to I, at 62kg, can't get my aisle seat? There will be tears...

As our cousins would say, it is a 'cockamamie' scheme.
