that Flight Lieutenant Les Brodrick who took part in the
Great escape passed away.

Thought it might be of interest being RAF.

RIP Les. Glad to see you lived a full and meaningful life. When I get on my Triumph I will think of you and your comrades depicted in that inaccurate movie - hopefully avoiding a recreation of the jump across the Swiss border!
