Hi

I understand EASA came into effect around 17th September.

Hours done towards an EASA CPL based in the UK, can they be transferred to another EASA school around Europe? Also can the licence be issued by the UK CAA.

I took the ATPL theory and class one medical at Gatwick.

What exactly do you mean? Are you referring to hours flown as part of a Modular CPL course?

As with JAR you must take theory and license in the same member state..

You can do your license in a different country now and have your license issued by the country that holds your medical (UK in your case).

I don't understand the questions
Maybe you should read the regulation.
The European regulation is part of a doc called CAP804 that you can find on the caa website.
In that document, together with European regulation are UK regulations and CAA practice.

The hours you fly count towards experienced required.
Yes you may study the theory in one country and to the practical training in another.
If you have started a CPL training in one FTO in an EASA country, and you wish to complete your training in another FTO in another country, I think that hours done in the first FTO might count, see in CAP 804 for the answer.
