Interesting little effect:
Bought Linksys EA4500 router with Ethernet WAN input to use with fibre optic modem.
Pending installation of fibre optic modem, I'm using my Netgear DG834G router just as an ADSL modem with wireless off and only one Ethernet output to the Linksys which is providing wireless and Ethernet distribution.
My download speed seems to have increased by about 30%.
The only reason I can think of is that, with the Netgear operating only as a modem and relieved of other tasks, it runs faster.
