Good evening gang.

Forgive my ignorance as I have never flown a FADEC controlled turbine, or anything more complex than a 206, but is it possible to manually Beep the engine, or is that the whole point of FADEC (as in, you don't need to! )

Thanks

Brian

The FADEC that was nailed to the two RRs that powered my last ship was completely in control from initial start to full stop. There was no manual reversion as the system was fully redundant. In this case it lived up to its acronym. On my present aircraft I have an electronic engine control that works in a similar fashion but is less sophiticated. With this ac I can revert to a mecahnical (governed) system and then should I get a run away up for instance, like the 206, I can revert to manual control and play with the throttle.
A simple answer for a complicated question!

EC135's have a manual rocker switch on the collective to 'beep' the torque. Also has full manual reversion on the collective should the fadec play up.:)
