Bugger! I thought this was going to be about a nicked paraffin stove or something equally interesting.

Stolen Calor is a real problem in the UK and we shouldn't be making light of it*

That valour has not seen any action whatsoever. Where are the food stains on the sides where the pan on top has overflowed? Your valor is a walt and spent all its days preventing the outside toilet from freezing! Outrage!!!!!!!!

Those paraffin heaters chucked out some heat, we used to cook freshly picked mushrooms with a knob of butter on the top of one in the early morning at Upavon

The HSE Mafia would be very proud of this US Army Military Policeman....we need more of such stalwart fearless law enforcers!

Excellent, SASless. We could use more policemen like that here. The laws aren't made just for fun and unless they are enforced with rigour and, in this case, with complete disregard for the safety of law enforcement officers, they become worthless. And what a modest, self-efacing hero too.

CM - Yes we have got policemen/women like that. Try the address below.

Though to be fair even the Chief Constable has voiced his displeasure at her actions.

Belize 1989 - speed limit something like 15mph. One of the SACs with me was stopped by the RMPs using a newly acquired speed gun. Conversation went something like...

RMP "Do you know the speedlimit on camp?"

SAC "Yes it's 15 mph" (or what ever it was at the time)

RMP "Yes that's right - do know what speed you were doing?"

SAC "15 mph...?" (hopefully)

RMP "Yes you were doing exactly 15 mph - well done and carry on like that"

While I was there an RSM did one of the squaddies for "idling while cycling" in other words not pedaling
