Can anyone tell me what happened to ALM out of Curacao/Aruba
It seems there is a new airline down there now. Are they still going to fly the MD80's? Thanks.

The company changed hands from the Dutch Antillean government to the Curacao government. It is now called Dutch Caribbean Airline (K8). Same acft, routes etc.

Grtz.

Their future looks a little brighter these days. Two 'new' DC9 acft expected in June...to supplement the other 3 md80's.
They are certainly making tons of money on the Amsterdam route, which they 'share' with Sobelair. So it all looks good, I really hope they can keep it up.
There is also talk of ALM pilots in the Sobelair 767 cockpits...now that would be good!!
