Cyprus is on the verge of bancruptcy and the EU bail plan imposes a 10% levy on all bank accounts. This could include those of British Forces and Civil Servants. There is a call for the UK government to cover this but having been in Cyprus in 1972 (when the UK devalued the £) I remember the shafting we got then so watch this space!
