They are being fined in Thailand for not having More than 50% Thai employees, they have acft flying with many maint issues. and the last Thai manager has quit and publicly stated they should be shut down and that he is Not going to be held responsible for the brothers short minded and illegal operation. May be Improvment ?

I heard that they want to go to hajj and they need to pass The IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).

Are they going back to Japan?

I heard that, 2 out of 4 aircrafts now having C check in china and 5th 767 will join the fleet this month or next. They are expecting 8 aircrafts by end of this year and I believe, they will need on type expat.

Ok here is What I see on a different site.
Capt takes off with Over wing exit warning light on. extends falps at the landing and overwing slide deployes and ripps off wile flapping in the breezes? why capt ignor warning? so he won't get fired but dead is ok. passenger beware.

Force pilots to fly unsafe aircraft or get fired? They must not be insured or insurance company not notified, so pilots not covered or told? Widows and orphans get no payment company goes broke and scum management runs like cowards.

On today flight from Shenyang to Bangkok we experience a situation during the takeoff, at rotation we lost both generators. The stby engine indicator didn't work, stby flight instruments didn't work. All instruments have the flags and screens were off. We start the apu ASAP while the PF was flying with outside reference.
We were not able to put the landing gear up, we have to use the lock ovrd. After the apu came in line we recover the Capt. Instruments, stby instruments and stby engine indications. Then the Capt. took control of the aircraft because his instruments start working. Then we reset the generators, utility buses, after the reset the electrical power was recovered.
The HDG didn't work after loosing both generators, sty power also didn't work. The cabin crew notify that the emergency lights work correctly.
At 30.000' we lost the apu (apu fault). Apparently The Hyd Gen still on after recovering the electrical power.

Last week aircraft JAK left Changsha. On departure the right landing gear failed to retract. This time the crew opted to return instead of flying to Thailand with failed hydraulics. Was there any communication with OCC or support from the flight operations department in any way? Not possible as there is nothing there to assist any pilot in case of a malfunction. Call the chief pilot? There isn't one. The only plausible solution is for the Sabas to astroproject themselves and magically fix the hydraulics and land the aircraft. Why not? they are the smartest people in the universe, just ask them.

what new developments have happened? I am hearing that there are labor lawyers lining up to find former employees to sue, I here the Sabas Brothers have no regard for Thai labor law. looks like they shark lawyers are seeing easy pickings

The incompetence and corruption continue. Pilot pay is always wrong and every "mistake" is in favor of the company. The acting DO is a South African troll who lost his medical years ago and is infamous in the industry as a pedantic prat, threatens pilots with termination if they ask for the pay they have earned. All the while, defending the actions of the two thieving brothers, who don't pay their vendors or insurance on time. Now the company is looking for struck work to fly. Be assured if you fly one leg of struck work you will never work for a first tier IFALPA carrier. You will relegate yourself to the jetasias of the world. That means, low pay, no benefits, many job changes, no retirement. If that is the life you envision for yourself and your family, by all means work for jetasia and enjoy.

Just heard today that Air Asia Atlantic is hosting another class, they are touting how By july most contracted flights to Jet Asia will be transferred to AAA. so it means all the H.I.S. travel agent flights out of Japan will be going to their own airline , (Air Asia Atlantic.)

I agree with all posts re. Jet Asia. Having worked for them (8 months), only once did I get a "pay advise" (sic) sheet. Note: it was totally incorrect. The two children brothers delight in actually deducting money from the "salary", usually with no discernible reason. During my last days at this manifestly unsafe operation, I looked at another carrier and word got back to the brothers. The very NEXT day... terminated. Up to that point I was on outstanding terms with the then current Flight Ops. management. In point of fact, I was told by the upper management (not owners), they were directed to terminate me simply because I looked elsewhere. The operative word is "looked". They brothers (Jacob and Ibrhim) are now only hiring Mexican or South American pilots (Captains) and Thai F/Os. With due respect to virtually all of my aviation brothers and sisters, if you even contemplate taking a position with these miscreants, you have a serious mental defect. I've been in the business for over 30+ years and can say, with all honesty, this operator is the absolute worst carrier in the known aviation world. From day 1, the lies and obfuscation are the rule, rather than the exception. Stay away at all costs.

The two paranoid schizophrenic brothers will surely stiff you for as much pay as they can. I suggest you start with a Thai labor lawyer now. The good news is that the brothers have not prevailed in any of the lawsuits.

Would someone please explain the difference between cash flow and financial performance. The bottom line is pilots don't get paid. Don't worry though the brothers can still reside at the Marriott suites.

Subject: November 1st Salary

Dear Jet Asia,

I want to thank you all for being as patient as you all have been regarding the delay in salary payments which were due on November 1st. I know how much everyone needs their pay check to make ends meet and how much everyone depends on it being paid on time. Despite that you guys have been very understanding and patient and I really truly thank you for that. We expect to be in a position to pay the salaries that were due up to November 1st on Monday.
This unfortunate delay in salary payments is a result of a combination of things which were unexpected. As you all know we operated almost 1,400 hours for Air India during their Hajj operation, we did a great job and fought though the challenges we faced with that hard operation. Unfortunately due to some operational irregularities by another airline with who we collaborated with Air India has not paid the final 3 weeks of flights. At the same time China has rejected all of our flight permits for the month of November for reason which are still unclear.
These two difficult situations happened quite unexpectedly. The unexpected nature of this situation left us without enough time to plan or react which is why faced this sudden cash shortage. We expect that things will stabilize in the month of December onwards.
Despite this whole lot of bad news in a short period of time we have lots of good news.
This past Tuesday we implemented our brand new Ticketing and Reservation system, Altea from Amadeus. This is a world class ticketing and reservation system used by leading airlines around world. This will allows us to sell through the GDS and other channels.
We have received all of our permits to begin operating flight between Jakarta and Jeddah via Bangkok starting December 16th. Our sales team has done a great job and this will be one of our most profitable routes.
Our Tokyo flights are selling extremely well, we expect it to be profitable in November which is a great feat since we only just launched it 45 days ago.
Our business for the UN is still going strong and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
We are working hard to stabilize the situation again so that we can focus on growing our company and accomplishing all of the goals we have.
I once again want to thank you for your patience and for supporting me and the rest of the management team. We will get thing back on track as soon as possible.

Jacob Saba
President

If you are supposed to be running an airline and your main routes are cancelled by the host country don't you think it would be a priority to find out why and correct the problem? Not these boys, they cannot do anything wrong therefore they simply don't know what happened. There are a lot of hogs being washed in Bangkok.

Note the CEO still cannot realize he is the problem. His amazing plea is that the unpaid employees not judge him by his past performance, but that they believe in his hollow promises.
The bottom line is that any pilot who flies for JAA is not a professional. By definition professionals are paid for their work and if you are not paid that is defined as charity or slavery.
Enjoy it boys and keep believing this garbage they are feeding you. I'm sure there are several carriers who would like to use your services for free also. In your spare time perhaps you could stop by the office and take out the garbage and shine Jacob's shoes

In a wonderful twist of fate Benecio pled with on of the captains who quit because he was not paid to fly a flight. Benecio's pitiful request was, "if you don't fly the flight we will have to cancel and it will cost us millions of dollars."
Let me break it down so that even an unpaid pilot can understand this.
JAA does not pay salaries.
Pilot quits because his salary is not paid.
Benecio asks unpaid former JAA pilot to fly a flight.
Former pilot refuses.
Benecio tries to get former pilot to sympathise with the plight of the company's loss of revenue.
Former pilot is still not paid and refuses to fly further flights without compensation.
Bottom line JAA management would rather cancel flights because of the lack of pilots than pay them.
Conclusion: JAA is not an airline. People do not matter. Safety? Competence at upper management is non existent.
Watch the boys rack up more debt and mysteriously disappear with all the remaining assets.

How many "New Management" teams have they hired?
As long as Jacob and Ibrahim are on the property there will be no changes.
Safety will be non existent and professionalism who cares?
Go for it, work for free, risk your license, and never have a chance of working for a reputable company.
