With just under 24 Hrs to go to the Big One ... time to get out the final NOTAM :ok:

If there are any of RAF Valley's "finest" possessing tickets for uniformed attendance, as with the last Twickenham Match, in the event they may appear on TV, a discrete signal may be appropriate to acknowledge PPRuNe solidarity. As with last week "solidarity" in this context will mean "nice one chaps glad you're drinking for us while we are on duty" :}.

Annoying but I'm in Munich for this one with no chance of seeing the match live due to commitments.

Will just have to see it on Iplayer when I get back on Weds.

England to win by 9 points.

In the spirit of the game I would like to wish both nations, teams and supporters the very best of luck.

I would, naturally, not mean it in the Welsh case.;)

Does anyone know a site I can stream the match from after the event? I'm overseas but via the magic of VPN I'll be able to use websites from any country.
Please help.

After logistics run this morning with Mrs CM and a glass of wine in Prego, Buckingham, I shall mostly be watching Ireland Italy for fun, England Wales with intense concentration (and Black Sheep:ok:) and shall save the France Scotland match for tomorrow, cheering for France. Hopefully the last one there won't bung me too deeply in the Scottish sin bin for a racist disloyalty; at least Milo will be there to keep me company!:=

C'mon England!!! :ok:

Last minute change of lineup, some Black Sheep, but provisions were low, so we now have backup Old Speckled Hen. Let's hope it doesn't have an adverse effect on the viewing.

Watching this live. Steve Walsh doing a number on England as Wales' 16th man. Southern hemisphere refs are usually worth at least 15 points to whoever England happen to be playing, but even Jonathan Kaplan woudn't be as blatant as this. Utter bl**dy disgrace

Ali Qadoo,

You really must try eating a sweeter variety of grapes!

Courtney Mil
16th Mar 2013, 21:46
No, Ali Q makes a sound point. There were some decisions that I couldn't quite be sure about even with slo mo replay. That may well have made a few points of difference. But, as Pope Francis will tell you (were you to ask) he and the ref are infallible, so that's it.

In the end, the best team won, it was an amazing match and Rugby comes out on top again.

Ali Qadoo, maybe this will cheer you up :E:E

Some words written by Tom Fordyce, the BBC Chief Sports Writer, this morning on the web:

Referee Walsh was never likely to be chaired around the streets of Twickenham even before awarding the hosts 12 penalties to the visitors' seven, but his role was an easy excuse that few England players would offer. Refereeing the scrum in today's game is a thankless exercise in guesswork and supposition. If Walsh's interpretation was that the more experienced front row was on top, it was no larceny. 27-point differences are routs not robberies.

Ali Qadoo
17th Mar 2013, 09:32
SREN, 1.3. No sour grapes, no oikball fan "we woz robbed" nonsense from me. The result was completely fair and LFA7 were the better side by far.

Guess this is a lesson not to post during the first half of a match, but to wait until the game's over (note to self: could do better).

However, it doesn't invalidate my point about certain S hemisphere refs - take a look at Walsh's disciplinary record and his expulsion from rugby's elite referee panel and you'll perhaps understand my misgivings. I'd have been far happier to see Nigel Owens referee the match, safe in the knowledge that he would be completely impartial and fair.

Off to pop some humble pie in the oven. Pip, pip.

PS: As with rugby, so with flying: with each passing year, the better I was :)
