The inaugural meeting of the Metropolitan Police Flying Club's new Helicopter Section was held at Wycombe on Sunday 21 April.

Proceedings were interrupted when the star attraction, the Thames Valley & Chiltern Agusta 109 Power air ambulance, was called out. Before hand, Neil Parkinson (pilot) and the paramedics opened their helicopter to public inspection and talked about their role and missions.

The Met Police Helicopter section is based at Wycombe and will provide helicopter training, private charter and social activities for its members.

Good luck to the new club.

So how will we know which side they're on when they're off duty?
Will the Police Club helicopter(s) be clearly marked with the club badge/health warning?

R/T in the Wycombe area might be fun.

Will requests for airfield information from G-COPP be: "Hello, hello hello .... what's going on 'ere then?"

And position reports may become: "G-COPP proceeding in a Northerly direction ..... " :D
