Yesterday i did an Estermann Binocular test for my eyesight & results were as follows.

Goldmann111 White Stimulus
Background 10 cd/m2

Missed/Presented 2/112

False Positives 0/18

False Negatives 0/7

It's been asked for by the CAA Medical guys as i have Type two Diabetes & my prescription glasses have not changed for the last 6 years.
I had Retina scans as part of my Diabetes record in December & it showed one dot on one eye which sparked this off.

Question;- Will i be able to keep my class two Medical with these results?

I have JAR/FCL PPL & i'm 50 years old...........

CAA may take a few weeks to get back to my AME & i am fearing the worse, Loss of Class two medical, which will mean the end of my weekend hobby flying!!!

Any medics or Opticians on here who know the rules that can help decipher these results please??

I think i may have found an answer to my question for reference if anyone else finds themselves in the same predicament as me.

0034: Visual Fields Policy
11 May 2007
Initial, renewal and revalidation Class 1 and Class 2
JAR FCL 3 3.220(f) states that, "
An applicant with abnormal visual fields shall be
assessed as unfit
". Paragraph 6(d) Appendix 13 to Subpart B goes on to state that, “
An
applicant with a visual field defect may be considered as fit if the binocular visual field is
normal and the underlying pathology is acceptable to the AMS
”.
In keeping with the principle of statutory interpretation, in this context we define "normal
visual fields" as follows:-
Monocularly, on Esterman field testing, there should be no more than a
single missed spot within 20 degrees vertically from the primary position
and 30 degrees horizontally from the primary position. There should be no
contiguous area of missed spots outside this area.
Additionally, binocularly, on Esterman field testing there should be
no
more than 4 missed
spots, of which not more than 2 shall be contiguous in the visual field defined
horizontally by 60 degrees either side of the primary position and vertically by 20
degrees above the primary position and 30 degrees below the primary position.
