Hi all,

Just want to share with all those who are still unaware that now getting an NOC for renewal is not a problem anymore. You just have to take a print out of this NOC Application - http://dgca.nic.in/public_notice/PN-medical%20NOC.pdf .

Fill it up, scan it and send it to the given mail id along with enclosures.

I got a response from them in 15 minutes (Yes, 15 minutes). :ok:

Thanks to @Cyrilroy for help.

But what do you put in the enclosures section where they ask for Indian license details - since I haven't got one.
Also the proposed date for medicals should be ?

Hi

get the appointment first and then apply for noc...

here's the link for medical examination centres

CLASS II MEDICAL EXAMINERS LIST (http://www.dgca.nic.in/medical/c1exam-ind.htm)

regarding license, if you have spl or ppl - that would work.

Well I spoke with the medical examiner and he says I have to get a fresh medical from nanavati since I got my last class 1 issued on jan 2009.

I guess it's the only way to go about it , can anyone shed more light on this ?

Alright, so I spoke to a medical examiner empanelled by the DGCA and he says that any candidate with similar/exact circumstances such as mine needs to get a FRESH/INITIAL class 1 medical from Nanavati(since I reside in bombay ).Seems like a no brainer amidst all that confusion earlier.

cheers ,

@clearblueskyy

I have a friend in the similar situation . He had emailed the Medical Cell recently and asked about this and they told him that since he had already done a class 1 medical earlier he can only do the initial again at AFCME Delhi , IAM Bangalore or MEC Jorhat .

Are you sure you can do your Initial again at a private hospital like Nanavati ?

@cyrilroy21

Umm yes, I spoke with Dr RC Sharma and that's what he said .. But I'm still going to confirm this with the dgca in del via mail or whatever.
Ill keep you posted as to how this goes ...

This information is correct. I was in a similar predicament 2 years ago and these are the only three options available. For what its worth, IAF IAM Bangalore is your best bet for a quick appointment and Bangalore is a fun place to relax in for a day or three after the medical.

Speak to the DGCA and confirm. That can be done over the phone.

Good luck.

EDIT: Is there a quote function on these forums?

Ok I'm still on this whole thing of confirming the scene with the DGCA waiting for a reply .

But here's what I stumbled upon ..
AVIATION MEDICINE (http://www.dgca.nic.in/medical/medical-ind.htm)

A quick look at page 2 of this document and it clearly mentions New Delhi,Bangalore and Jorhat as the only options but this is dated 17.12.09.

So may be the rules have gone through a makeover ?

This I'm saying because the doctor seemed pretty sure...

EDIT: Follow the link and on the sidebar look for medical assessment and appeal system.

Alright,

So if your initial class 1 medical has expired for a period >2 years you have to get an initial done at jorhat ,afcme delhi or bangalore.

As confirmed by the medical cell via e-mail.

Hi all,
would like to update everyone who want to acquire Noc from DGCA for medicals early/late.
apply for the date at the medical centre first.
as soon as you get the date apply for the NOC as per the formats available.
some of us had received reply for the noc with a few min to a day.
In any case you dont hear from them via email do give them a call DGCA at 011-24622495
Extension 526/453 or by email at [email protected].
They respond and you will get the status of your Noc.

Is there anyone in DGCA who can help in getting the NOC the same day if I take the NOC application by hand?
