The latest news is that ORBEST will continue a limited operation until Sunday 24Feb. What happens after that is not clear.
However Thomas Cook Scandinavia are to wet lease 2x A310 on a tempory basis from Portuguese ACMI specilaist Hifly to cover the flying that TCK Scandinavia had contracted on Orbest (mostly Scandinavia-Canaries).

So pretty much the future of Orbest is still very unclear ! If Thomas Cook Scandinavia have sought a new carrier Is it likely Thomas Cook Ireland will do the same? As they also use Orbest for their flights.

The Barceló group have agreed to buy Orbest Airlines from Orizonia Group. Both Thomas Cook (UK) and Low Cost Holidays have put their summer 2013 packages back on sale after sales were halted earlier in week once the news broke.

Orizonia expected to “Save” some 1,500 jobs after reaching an agreement with the Barcelo group (http://www.deltaworld.org/economy/Orizonia-expected-to-Save-some-1-500-jobs-after-reaching-an-agreement-with-the-Barcelo-group/)

Yesterday EI announced xtra flights for S13 to bucket and spade flights by EI so maybe this is tour operator driven as cannot risk Oberst possible demise or retrenchment

Well Thomas Cook have changed "operated by" notice when you are booking flight to "To be determined" as opposed to Orbest!
So they are obviously looking for a new carrier to operate their charters! Anyone any Ideas as to who it might be ?
