Maldives: Twotters in Paradise!

So, I saw an ad back in Nov of last year saying that Maldives Air Taxi was hiring FOs with just a commercial certificate and a float plane rating. Does anyone know if this is still going on and if they're considering expats for the right seat?

Just got a reply from them last week. Easily meet their fo requirements but short of 1000 on Dh6 for command and they said they are no hiring FOs unless they are local.

"Presently we do not consider applications for First Officer positions due to the demand from local applicants and work permit restrictions; therefore, with regret we inform you that the company may not be able...."
