With all this talk and the pending marriage legislation for gay people, the question now needs to be asked "What about equal rights for unhappy people?".

I am far from being gay, actually feeling quite down and depressed at the moment, so what rights should I be campaigning for?

Well, you should be happy about gay people being allowed to marry; now they can be as miserable as the rest of us.

The right to demand all the money you've ever spent be refunded to you.

The right to go to weddings in old clothes.

The right to laugh uncontrollably at funerals.

The right to sit in the front seat of airliners . . . the left front seat.

The right to eat huge cream buns in front of people who are on diets.

The right to drive on the right in England - and on the left in France.

The right to hum loudly along with the piano at recitals.

Used to have a bumper sticker "Land rights for gay whales". Need to replace it with something more relevant to the 21st century. Suggestions welcome.

Well, it'd be pointless wouldn't it? I mean they wouldn't give anything anyway.
It'd be a waste of time so it wouldn't be worth trying. And even if you started, well it'd all go wrong and end up with everyone blaming you for the screwup even though you'd done you best. Then you'd probably find that they'd want you to compensate them fall all the hassle. I bet even if you started to write a letter or anything the printer wouldn't work and the internet link would go down and totally snafu the email system, like it usually does when you want to do anything. Or the pen would run out of ink and anyway no-one can read your writing and they always take everything the wrong way and there isn't any lined paper and you can't write quite stright over the pages without lined paper and even if there was any lined paper you know they wouldn't bother to read anything because only useless people like you write letters on lined paper.

I've got this ache all down the diodes on my left side, I'm not getting you down am I?

edit: ha.. I bet everyone saw the studpid mistake I made, "fall all" instead of "for all" it just shows how useless I am I really hate me

Yes, that's a good one, stuckgear. If you have a daughter who doggedly insisted she wanted to be an RAF fighter pilot during her school years, as I have. I tried to explain that the job wasn't a realistic goal back in the seventies and eighties, so she eventually accepted that, qualified as a doctor instead, and then earned enough to take flying lessons and qualify for a PPL. You can't hold back a fundamental force of nature, otherwise known as a determined woman! ;)

PPRuNe is not the place to ask this question. It's ruled by Grumpy Old Men (and one or two women) anyway.

That was the point about the box office. I'm not anti-female pilots. With equality, unhappy people will now get the p!ss taken out of them just as happy people do. Careful what you wish for.

So now that heterosexuals can marry and homosexuals and lesbians can marry, are single people (miserable or not !) deprived of the right to be in a "meaningful relatonship" with themselves ?

Somebody should get on to Nick Clegg, he's the sort of politican who would be up and running* with this one.........

He seems to think he has the right to insult mine.

ahh and these days if one has an offspring with a desire to be a pilot, one best off smothering it in its sleep. :hmm:

it's kinder all round !
