Rough Maintanace costs for a B200

Hi!!

does anyone know a ball park figure of what the running costs of a B200 would be per year?

with a ball park of 200 hours per year for private use?

AMSTAT quotes $194 / hour for "maintenance cost" and $245 / hour for "engine cost". At 450 hours per year the hourly variable cost is $1350 which gives a total variable of $600K / year @ 450 hours. Fixed costs, again from AMSTAT, $200K per year.

With these numbers it looks like about $400K / year...?

The big variable in these things are the engines. Hot section inspections cost about 6k (all figure in this post GBP) for labour, PLUS parts. It is very rare to not fork out for worn blades etc and the hots can easily run into high 5 figure sums.

AMSTAT use figures from Conklin and De Decker. CandD are an American Company that have been producing costing data for years. There was a time when it was considered reliable, but nowadays it suits only those who want to make an airplane look cheap to run IMO. The figures they publish bear absolutely no resemblance to EU costs, and for all intents and purpose are as about as much value as a chocolate fire guard.
