Can Eu citizens work in Morocco without a moroccan work visa?

I don't believe so. I think if you are French then it will not be too difficult. I believe in all cases you have to apply for residency which involves jumping through some hoops but it raises the question, why would you want to?

Ah, but in RYR speak they work in Ireland. The a/c is EI and therefore Irish territory. They don't get paid for any work in Morocco as only flight time is paid and that is with doors closed. Could this an interesting test of that philosophy?

From a quick search it looks like it's the companies responsibility to provide the visa if required.

With regards Tax - as in personal tax this is always the individuals responsibility to be compliant. There is a double taxation agreement between Ireland and Morocco.

If still in doubt you can always seek advice from IALPA.

According to the Jeppy supplement under 'Entry Requirements' there is no requirement for a vaccination certificate to enter Morocco... still, i don't particularly fancy it.

I think you also have to have the DGCA sim check before you can operate out of Morocco as a base.. well at least they did in JetAirfly..as Jet4You operations out of Casablanca..

But Jet4you was a company with moroccan registered aircraft, therefore european, JAA, licensed crew were required to obtain a moroccan license.

Yes but... Isn't there a Moroccan directive under the liberalisation agreement that restricts carriers BASED in Morocco to have maximum 49% foreign holdings? I can't see RYR will actually have a " Base" in Morocco..open to discussion!

The big test it not what they will do with the pilots, - just send in floaters.
It will be far more interesting to see what they will do with cabin crew.
(think MRS)

lastly this has been in the pipeline for quite a while, and FR has been working with the authorities down there for a long time.- initially on procedures and so on, and now this... -no-one should be surprised - this is an area where FR is quite progressive--- to everybody elses loss.

Hello

Anyone knows if FR will recruit 100 % moroccan pilots ( not bi-nationals ) holding JAR licences for their moroccan bases ? Because if you don't hold an EU passport you can't work for FR in Europe

Thank you

I don't believe they will recruit one Moroccan pilot.

For Ryanair they are just like any other bases, & are likely to be staffed by floating Contractors.
