I heard GFS requires perfect eyesight due to its job nature, wonder how many candidates in HK could fit this requirement..

applied this post, and now patiently waiting to be called for eyesight tests, anyone knows when will I hear from GFS? I applied CX cadet as well, but failed it. Hope I will do better this time.

Hi,

I applied via mail and they just sent me back the last page of the application that states they have received and are processing my application.

Short listed candidates will be informed in due course.

Pretty basic stuff!

Will post here if I hear anything else.

At the moment I am just studying the background of GFS as well as going through some PPL books for some basic aerodynamics.

Good luck to you too.

anyone got an idea what will be in the eye sight test. I got a little bit short sight. Just wondering should attend the interview or not. If not, I could save a trip back.

They said if invites have not been received in next couple days then you should consider yourself unsuccessful.

I spoke to them on Monday and they had sent the invitations on Friday then the letter definitely should have arrived by now!

I think All BL tests are bilingual. No need to worry, just choose the one which you feel comfortable.

I'm thinking basic aviation knowledge, and a bit of GFS fleet info too. Basic law is probably similar to the ones for CRE. If you can read chinese, take a look at this thread. These guys talked about some questions on the written. *»´ä°Q½×°Ï discuss.com.hk (http://m.discuss.com.hk/index.php?action=thread&tid=5176664&extra=&page=12)

Good luck guys. I met the GFS cadets in YPAD while I was there. They only sent 2 cadets down. It appears to be fairly difficult.
