Hello all,

I have to revalidate my multi engine instrument rating in April in an aircraft and I want to find were in the UK is the cheapest. Can anyone tell me were has the cheapest rate on a twin to do this.

Thanks very much.

What would be the cheapest price you would get a twin for.

I did my renewal in Nottingham Tollerton. The cost of the twin for 1 hour and 30 minutes was I believe around 540£.

Mind you the examiner will charge 200 £ so the total cost of this would be 740£.

There are companies/flight schools that offer a renewal with 1-2 sim session for free before the ME IR in the A/C if that's something you need.

How about finding somewhere with a Tecnam P2006T which can be used for MEP re-val? Pretty sure there are a few about. Considerably cheaper to keep in the air than the "conventional" twins.
