Aviation clubs

i would like to start aviation clubs in high schools and i am looking for curriculum to use. other useful tips will also be appreciated.

Hi Mutinda,

I guess it depends on what you hope to achieve through the group. Are you thinking of this as a "general interest group" where you would talk in generalities, or are you thinking about this as closer to an unofficial ground school where the attendees would learn about navigation, meteorology, principles of flight, etc?

Both will result in a vastly different curriculum, which is why I ask.

I can't help with the former because although I'm a self professed aviation nut (after spending a third of my life in airplanes, I still look up to a passing 172), I've never been much for sitting with Janes and looking at pictures.

However, if you're looking for a basic ground school where people would learn about different subjects, do projects, that sort of thing, then feel free to PM me. I might have something that would get you off on the right track. :)
