Might have done the rounds here already, but worth a look for newbies.
This is why we tie down Cessnas!

I'd like to know how far behind the aft limit its CG is, without engines and whatever else has been removed forward of the main gear.

I once watched an E-3A AWACS lift by itself, turn 90 degrees and float off the tarmac and then twenty yards into the grass. There it sat, all alone in an Oklahoma thunderstorm, a guard scrambling to reposition the cones and rope around it.

Shows how good those leading edge flaps are.

Yes, but how fast was the conveyor belt going?

Do airplanes have souls?

I suggest that many pilots might believe that they do. Their airline traded-in a their ageing jets in exchange for more modern versions.

But instead of being somehow recycled, some airplanes, parked far away in the desert, devoid of engines or pilots, insist that they're still available for flying service.

Perhaps asking their former partners, many years older now, for final release...?!
