Thanks very much sidevalve.

The first shot shows a young Galland who I met back in 1971 (when he thrashed me in a shooting competition) and the one of the early FW190 is as good as I have seen.

Yes, that 190 looks an exceptionally clean design.
Those Me 410s caught my eye.. but into service too late to do any real damage - and outclassed by the P-51..

Thanks for the link, I haver never seen better Luftwaffe photos. The pair of '109s in colour!
I wonder why the " nighfighter " has no propellers?

Did all Me. 323s have turrets on top of the wing? Was manning these another duty of the two 'in-wing' flight engineers?

The twin boom glider captioned as a DFS 230 is, of course, a Gotha 242.

The Storch accompanied by the gents in neat berets seems to have a decidedly non-standard prop almost like some of the modern Larrabee ones. Did the Argus engine not normally have vanes (for constant speed prop?) on the propeller hub? Any sugestions?

A fascinatng set of pictures anyway.

Does anyone know why they do not have swastikas on their fins?

Does anyone know why they do not have swastikas on their fins? Could they have been "touched out" on the Airfix principle? That is that even display of the Hackenkreuz remains illegal in some countries.

No swastikas on Airfix transfers now?
