We "B-scalers" on full housing have become the new "A-scalers".
In the future the Company, if it needs to rationalise numbers whilst still looking like it is "keeping the team together", can unilaterally announce no further extensions to 15 year housing.
So you younger FOs consider in 10-15 years time (you may still be an FO) but there are heaps of guys on C scales as FOs as well. The Company needs to trim some expensive FOs but wants to retain Captains, so it "tweeks" the Local Housing Allowance to give just enough to keep Captains and announce no further extensions over 15years. This is a definte possibility of accepting RA65 without 25 year housing. Just look at what the agreement to credit free reserve has got us!!

PW got what he wanted with full B scales for over 55s, but didn't lock down housing, why? Was a separate "gentlemans agreement made?"
If there was an agreement that the Company renegged on then pursue it!! The consequences of not will be felt downstream when he is long and gone. Get it on the agenda before its too late.:ugh:

Most people practice it already without shouting about it. Of those who don't, the ones that would change their practices are such a small percentage it will make sod-all difference.:ugh:
