HEY GUYS
anyone of u have any experience with obtaining job as a starting first officer in any asian carrier? e.g singapore airlines.....air india......biman bangladesh.......malaysian.......emirates e.t.c?

especially interested in biman (wanna get into any cockpit of their fleet pretty soon) and air india.....or any airline near about this region........air lanka for example.....or jet in india

reason for mentioning singapore and emirates is basically out of curiousity....... with low on local manpower, they always rely on foreign pilots...........

anyone willing to share his/her knowledge please step forward........

cheers!

Dont know about Biman, but only Indian pilots in India, pilot positions are not open for non indians, besides 1000 CPL holders sitting at home no jobs for them.

EK & Sri Lankan want 5000 tt 1500 jet time before they even look at your resume.

Malaysian: Req you to be Malay national and/or spk Malay. Not too sure of the hours requirements.

Biman/Air India: Presume they are the same. Strong preference for their own nationals, unless they are VERY short of pilots and you have a lot of hours.

EK: Been said before, they take on foreign nationals, but only with high hours and possibly Turbine time.
