I've seen that LanColombia is hiring pilots regardless of nationality, and they're asking for 200 hours TT.

If anyone has had any experience with them kindly share it here please.

Best wishes,

I went straight to their website:

LAN.com (http://www.lan.com)

There are positions available in Colombia and Chile.

I've checked the lan website over and over and they ask if you are willing to relocate, and when you create a profile it lets you select what country you are from. It also prompts you to upload a certificate of spanish proficiency if english is not your first language.

Only the ads for LanPeru, LanEcuador and LanArgentina seem to ask for nationals of those particular countries.

I already applied so IŽll keep you guys posted on what happens.

Best wishes,

Gerard

LAN- Colombia only hires Colombians or residents. The reason is because you will need local certification (PCA) to work for an airline there. I am in the process of getting my FAA convertion ($5000 aprox) to see if I have shot at any of the three that I hear that are "hiring". I also see 200 hours minimun in their website, but I saw in another website that they were asking 2000 hrs , which seems a bit too much, since many pilots in colombian wont have unless they become instructor..

we will see..
