pilot in command

Hello,
I'm studying for my ATPL exams at the moment and came across the ATPL Key notes/facts manuals which I've considered buying: Key Facts for JAA ATPL - Volume 1 - Pilot Training from Flightstore UK (http://www.flightstore.co.uk/books-c5/atpl-test-preps-c102/key-facts-for-atpl-c389/key-facts-for-jaa-atpl-volume-1-p1356)
Pooleys Key Facts Volume 2 - Pilot Training from Flightstore UK (http://www.flightstore.co.uk/books-c5/atpl-test-preps-c102/key-facts-for-atpl-c389/pooleys-key-facts-volume-2-p1362)
I've heard some people say you don't need them as all of this information is covered in the manuals you get from the course provided however sometimes I think it's good to have other sources. They are not too expensive however can someone advise if they are worth buying?
Thanks
