Just been reading some insurance pieces on the net for PPLs buying high performance aircraft. Matix, Meridian as an example.

Some of the cluses include, for low time pilots there is an initial requirement for 50hrs of supervised flying by a nominated safety pilot/instructor. Given that the PPL is endorsed on the aircraft and signed off etc. For the supervising pilot what does he log as for ICUS you need a CPL.

Owner = Dual......safety pilot as PIC?

OR

Owner PIC safety pilot does not log it?

Does the safety pilot have to be an instructor? If not how is it loged.
