QATAR Airlines to be the initiator of the 787 thru Perth - and stated that it will NOT be going to SY until they get 24 hour ops.....

Im pretty sure that the 787-8 doesnt quite have the range to reach Sydney non-stop from Qatar. But the 787-9 will be able to whenever that comes out.

With a noise footprint 50-60% smaller than comparable aircraft the B787 may be able to arrive during curfew hours at Sydney or at least during the curfew shoulder hours.

Maybe QATAR know something we do not !
