Hello,
i'm 28 with about about 6 years of Voice experience in Call-Centres tending to UK & USA based clients, am currently working for a US Banking major supporting their mortgage portfolios etc.......
Needless to say i'm crazy about aviation, All my life i dreamt of being a Pilot, joined Pilot Training ground school in 2006 with limited money only to exit it a few months later due to a Family Emergency & then came the recession which shows no signs of receding so i'm left doing what i'm currently stuck-up in.
Anyways, over the weekend i went to this counselling session for this course with my fellow Planespotter friend.
This is the course:
MBA - Aviation Management in India (https://www.fh-frankfurt.de/en/faculties/business_and_law/degree_programs/aviation_management0.html)
Brochure: https://www.fh-frankfurt.de/fileadmin/de/Fachbereiche/FB3/Studiengaenge/Flyer/MBA_Aviation_India.pdf
Its is a part-time study programme.
The part-time study course is divided into 4 semesters (24 months). The teaching will take place mainly on the weekends in Mumbai.
* The tuition for fees for the complete two years is 5,900 Euros i.e. Approx. INR 4,00,000 but for first batch in Delhi and first batch in Mumbai special consideration is given to Aviation Enthusiasts for the special one time considered tuition fees at 2,900 Euros i.e. Approx INR 2,03,000.
Basically, from what i got after discussing with the two councillors is that the course is primarily designed as a Career Enhancement Program for Professionals already employed in different sectors of Aviation.
They initially werent very enthusiastic in entertaining us as we didnt belong to the industry.
However, the course has not met with a very good response & since they're short on students we were allowed for the session & were told that we would only be considered for the course if we could prove some links to the industry (that i can manage)
Question is, does it make sense for for me - someone who's not from the Aviation Industry but, yet is VERY passionate about flying/aviation & very knowledgeable about it to attempt this?
They said they wont be able to help with placements as that's the student's look-out :oh:
Cheers
