I have a D-Link 108G wireless access point that I need to re-set. The re-set button simply will not work and because I have no idea of the current IP settings I cannot access the unit to do a soft re-set. Can anyone please suggest (other than the bin) what I might do with it to be able to use it again?

What model number is it ?

Google says probably DWL-2100AP.In that case, the IP address is 192.168.0.50 (if you haven't changed the default factory IP).User name is admin, leave password field blank

why do you need to reset it? Presumably lost connectivity?
Combined with an inability to reset it, that suggests a failed router.

As to its IP address - what does running IPCONFIG /ALL from the command prompt give you? If the router is working, that should tell you its IP address

Personally, despite what you said, I'd bin it. Its a -G series device so must be close to four years old. D-link routers don't last forever - they tend to give up, and failing to respond to DHCP routing requests is one of the first symptoms

I think Milo has the right idea because nothing I have tried, even with you kind suggestions, works - so bin here it comes.
thanks everyone.

On my old D-link router to reset you had to remove power press and hold the reset button and plug it in again. While holding the reset button in for around 5 seconds or so then release the reset button.
