Don is a good guy, but many will never forgive/forget the first few CX FO's who jumped to ASL. N.T.S.and B.
ASL delayed commands for years. That is a fact.

Read up on the history of asl- obviously it happend well before you and your dumb arse friends came to cx. Also look at the response of the AOA to ASL.

Don't know and don't care if Don is ex ASL. I do know he is a knowledgable Captain, nice to fly with, learned at lot about the 747 from him. I know he is a great guy to have a beer with on lay overs. Just my experiance...
