I can confirm that Discovery Air is not a scam. They have 2 offices in Lagos, they have employed some ex-VK cabin crew and I believe they are starting with wet leased 733s.

How can anybody even dare, to give statetments like this, if it comes to fruitful start up Airliner's in Nigeria, especially in difficult times like this !!!!

My personal opinion is Ghost_Rider737, never worked in this beautifull country, which has/had such a great Aviation Industry, or maybe he/she is just envious..........

We should proudly support every serious investor who takes the burden, to invest in this sector, not to forget all the highly respected persons (owners and chairmen of existing Airliners and our Highness the Aviationminister )who made this succsess of Nigeria's Aviation already possible.

There is nothing else to say................................

"(owners and chairmen of existing Airliners and our Highness the Aviationminister )"

Seriously...... your aviation minister is from a Royal Background ?

Who are you fooling ?

Enjoy "aviation" in your country ! And BTW I do think your country is beautiful its the corruption in it that makes me want to hurl !

Nigeria takes 139th out of 174 places on the 2012 Corruption Perception Index

Here we go again!! This thread will start becoming another Nigeria blasting thread. Please, why don't we just stick to aviation matters.

Ghost_Rider737, what is your beef??

Ghost_Rider737, you might not have understood my poignant sarcasm !:}

Although, I agree with FLYDHC8,
I guess everybody, who lives/ works /have business in Nigeria is pretty much aware about the corruption/scam/419 (whatever you may call it), so what's the point to bring it up in every thread related to Nigerian Aviation ?

Or maybe you think it is of high educational value, if you post the
2012 Corruption Perceptions Index -- Results,....I wouldn't bet on it :E

Only a select few appear to have heard of them, to everyone else they're like ghosts..............
Who are they?? How can they already be advertising about destinations outside Nigeria and if they are going to be using 733s then why do they have the image of an A346 on their website??

I am so much impressed by their home page, which really gives a lot of information, look at the A346 in Discovery Air paint livery, it just gives you an idea how professional and successfull they are.:D

It seems all flights to every destination are already sold out, because I was not able to book a seat (another indication, that they are doing very well, especially flying a sold out A346 from Lagos to Abuja/Calabar/Kaduna/Owerri)

Personelly, I can sense a great opportunity and would also like to invest all my savings into this glorious corporation.
Could somebody provide me with an account number, where I can wire my investment ?

PS: I was a little doubtful at the beginning, but since the post from eagleflier:
I can confirm that Discovery Air is not a scam. They have 2 offices in Lagos, they have employed some ex-VK cabin crew and I believe they are starting with wet leased 733s.
I am convinced, that Discovery Air is not a scam !!:}

Stallfail,

Need a job? I can send you their office address and you can go submit a cv.
I don't believe anyone will ask you for processing fees.

They obviously don't have a start date yet so how will they start selling tickets, if they do, it'll amount to the scamming which some on here are accusing them of.

I'll believe in Discovery Air when their first revenue flight takes place. Even then, I'll give them six months max!

I don't know if they'll take off or how long they'll last. What I do know is that it's not a scam.
