Hi all,

I've recently started working for a large airline as a mechanic and am keen to get my modules out of the way.

Due to working full time I would have to do them distance learning. I know of "Licence by Post" and "www.part66.co.uk".

What are your opinions/reviews of these companies and are there any others you would recommend?

Cheers! :)

Will your employer not help you out with some study materials? Do they offer Apprenticeships? I was told not to bother too much paying masses of money on distance learning courses as most of the more basic information can be found in books like the FAA A and P series books etc, as for the 2-3 Electronics exams I am also looking for some study material.?!

Don't know what your background is, but i think i know your large airline.

Learn the job first mate, modules should come later. There is monstrous amounts of info you can learn at the mo from the guys around you, learning to take an exam does not make a you good engineer. Just remember what you are signing off, a thing forgotten by many, especially newbies in the company I work for.

Best of luck on whatever you decide.
