Hi guys,

I'm planning a 2 weeks holidays in Riviera Maya.

I would like to rent a Cessna 152-172 for a couple of days.

Does anybody know a decent club-school for renting?

I have both jaa and faa licenses. How can i get a license validation of my ppl? I have just checked the Mexico aviation authority but nothing is published....

Thank you!

Good luck.
Cant imagine flying in/around Cancun/Riviera Maya. If you so need a flying fix, you can get daily flights to Miami from CUN.
Having said that, there is a small airfield near Playa del Carmen and I saw a C172 (or similar) bouncing around in ferocious thermals a couple of years ago.

I've looked into this a few times - to no avail. There is a microlight on floats near to the big Mexican flag in the zona hoteleria you could look at.

There was a flight school at Playa del Carmen when I was there several years ago. If it is still there I would imagine you could easily fly with an instructor.

Easiest way to get there is a £3 ticket on the express coach (leaves every 10 minutes) from Cancun downtown bus station. The airfield is then an easy 10 minute walk from Playa del Carmen bus station.
