This is a brilliant PhD thesis of a Vietnamese candidate on the field. She succeeded in showing that working girls in VN are not always the victim, but the white expats, tourists, and the Vięt Kięů who fall for them are.
Most working girls do not deserve the contempt and denigration the society has towards them as most do not have other choices than to do this profession out of survival need, of mental illnesses, or because of drug addictions. Such are the low working class prostitutes in Vietnam.
However, the real siners seem to be those who does it for fun - and for the money - by fooling their "boyfriends" in their most fragile inner self, their emotions. If one can be empathetic with the low class working girls, the mid and higher class may trigger hatred to this race of girls. They are real demons who break apart families, fortunes, and the soul of their victims.
