Anyone else getting fed up with them?

I assume it's mostly slow links to advertisers on the page, but some sites are really annoying in this respect. Worst I've found is the Zdnet news page which dances up and down for some time as the various components load.

Do you use an ad-blocker?

I've noticed it a lot as well recently.
A pain in the butt on ipad as you go to select something with your finger and just as you touch the screen it jumps up and you invariably end up selecting some advert.

Even tried physcing? It out by saying right I'll delay touching it for a couple of seconds. Does'nt work :suspect:

Not on my main browser, which is where I get most of those problems. Another slightly related peeve is frequently when loading a news report, I start reading it, then it dives out of sight while an unwanted picture or video loads.

I would strongly recommend the use of an ad and pop-up blocker. Possibly also something like No-Script that prevents scripts from being run unless you want them.

All of these will improve your internet experience, at no cost other than your time and effort in installing and configuring them.

The tools are out there, you just need to embrace them.

I would use a blocker on that browser (Opera) except that AVForums complains bitterly about blockers and it's otherwise a useful site.

The latest verion of Flash was installed about three weeks ago and my internet connection runs iPlayer quite nicely (not measured speed). No additional toolbars.

Sounds like a tablet - if so adfree app is good.
