The Colombo freighter service will be operated on a Hong Kong-Chennai-Colombo-Hong Kong routing every Sunday using one of Cathay Pacific's Boeing 747-400F aircraft

The fact is that Boeing has not announced any changes to the Cx 777F order.

If my buddy in ACC is anything to go by, the answer is NOT.
He thinks he is on a 777 course in May.

The CX 777s were not due in May. In fact they were not due in 2013 at all. They were scheduled for 2014.

That is correct GEH.......almost.
My bud thinks he is on a course in Boeing. Starting in May. Full course finishes in July. Then back to China. Line train with Air China. Get the required hours as a PIC for when the first 777 arrives from Boeing. No point in the plane arriving at the same time as the crew return from training in Boeing! Two slated for end of 2013. Three for 2014, three in 2015. That's 8. The same delivery timeframe, and same number as the CX order.
It seems that it doesn't matter who orders the planes, weather it is CX, ACC or CA. The planes will be put exactly where the JV wants them. And it seems like these 777s will end up in ACC.
